Website terms and conditions

Version 1.0 | Website policies · Last updated: 13 October 2026

1. About DevsByte

This website is operated by DEVSBYTE LTD, trading as DevsByte, company number 17321803, registered in England and Wales.

Registered office: 235 Wright Rd, Saltley, Birmingham B8 1PB, United Kingdom. Email: hello@devsbyte.com. Telephone: +44 (0) 7904 534315. Website: https://devsbyte.com.

These Terms and Conditions govern use of our public website and its content. Please read them before using the website. If you do not agree to these website-use terms, please stop using it. They do not create consent for marketing, cookies or other processing requiring a separate choice.

2. Website use and service agreements

The website introduces our services, including AI automation, web and mobile applications and tailored software. Descriptions, demonstrations and indicative timelines help you understand possible solutions; they do not by themselves create a contract for paid work.

An enquiry, request for a call or quotation request does not commit either party to a paid project. Service engagements require an expressly accepted agreement, usually comprising our Terms of Business, a Statement of Work and any relevant schedules.

Scope, deliverables, fees, payment dates, ownership, support and cancellation for paid services are set out in that agreement. These website-use terms do not replace the Terms of Business or the project documents.

If a separate agreement governs a particular portal, application, demo or service, it applies to that activity. Mandatory consumer and other legal rights remain unaffected.

3. Information on the website

We take reasonable care with website information but it may become outdated or contain errors. We may change content, service descriptions and availability.

Case studies, sample results, illustrations and demonstrations should be understood in their stated context. Demonstration figures may be sample data. We do not promise that your business will achieve the same outcome.

Website content is general information, not legal, financial, medical or other regulated professional advice. Obtain appropriate advice before decisions requiring it. We remain responsible for statements and obligations that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

4. Enquiries and communications

When contacting us, please provide accurate details and enough information to understand your request. Do not impersonate another person or submit information you are not authorised to share.

Please avoid sending passwords, unnecessary sensitive information or third-party customer records through general enquiry forms, public comments or ordinary email. Contact us to agree a suitable secure process where needed.

We may respond to your enquiry and discuss relevant next steps. Response times shown on the website are service targets unless separately agreed as binding commitments.

An enquiry, social media follow, comment or direct message does not by itself subscribe you to promotional communications. Any optional marketing checkbox is separate from your enquiry and subject to the permission and opt-out arrangements explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the website for lawful purposes, including learning about our services and contacting us.

You must not knowingly introduce malware; attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts or data; interfere with website operation; misuse forms to send spam, threats or unlawful material; impersonate DevsByte or others; or use website content in a way that infringes intellectual property or other legal rights.

Automated access must not bypass access controls, collect personal information unlawfully or materially disrupt the website. Nothing in these terms removes rights or exceptions that applicable law does not permit us to restrict.

We may restrict access reasonably where necessary to address misuse or a security threat, while preserving obligations under any separate service agreement.

6. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, DevsByte or its licensors own the rights in the website design, branding, text, illustrations, software and other content.

You may view the website and download or print reasonable extracts for your own reference or internal business evaluation. Keep relevant ownership notices and do not misleadingly alter the material.

Further reproduction, commercial distribution, resale, rebranding or incorporation into another product requires permission unless applicable law allows it. Contact hello@devsbyte.com to request permission.

Client names, third-party trademarks, platform names and licensed assets remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply an endorsement or partnership unless expressly stated.

Ownership of deliverables from paid projects is governed by the relevant service agreement.

7. Materials you send us

You retain your rights in materials you provide. You give us permission to use them only as reasonably necessary to review your enquiry, communicate with you or deliver agreed services.

You must have appropriate authority to supply those materials. We do not gain permission to publish your confidential materials or use them in our portfolio merely because you sent them to us.

Confidentiality and personal data handling remain subject to the relevant agreement and Privacy Policy. Sensitive commercial discussions may require a separate confidentiality agreement.

8. Demonstrations and AI content

Public demonstrations are provided to illustrate possible functionality. Features may be incomplete, unavailable or different from a production solution. Do not enter real sensitive or customer information into a public demo unless its instructions expressly permit it and suitable processing arrangements are in place.

AI-generated outputs, where a demonstration expressly uses AI, may be inaccurate or incomplete. Apply appropriate human review before relying on them. A demonstration does not authorise safety-critical or regulated use.

Project-specific testing, acceptance criteria, permitted automated actions, oversight and service commitments must be agreed in the relevant Statement of Work.

9. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle website, email and social media enquiries and business contact information. Our separate Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies and applicable choices.

Accepting these terms or continuing to browse does not replace any legally required consent. Marketing permission and cookie choices are separate.

If you follow links to social media or other third-party services, their independent processing is governed by their own notices and settings.

10. External links

We may link to third-party websites, platforms, services or resources for convenience. We do not control their content or availability and a link does not automatically amount to endorsement.

Review the relevant third-party terms and privacy information before using those services. We remain responsible for our own conduct and any obligations that applicable law imposes on us.

11. Availability and security

We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or compatibility with every device. We may temporarily suspend or change the website for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee that every online interaction is free from vulnerabilities or transmission risks. You should use appropriate device and network protection.

Changes to the public website do not alter a signed client agreement or excuse obligations under that agreement.

12. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused by unauthorised third-party conduct or circumstances outside our reasonable control where we have met our own duties.

For business users, to the extent lawful and reasonable, we exclude liability arising solely from use of this informational website for indirect or consequential loss and loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings. This does not change liability for paid services under a separate agreement.

If you are a consumer, we remain responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law. These terms do not remove statutory consumer protections.

No blanket exclusion applies to liability for our handling of personal information where the law does not permit it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect website changes or legal requirements. The current version and last-updated date will be displayed.

Changes apply prospectively to website use and do not retrospectively change an existing service agreement. Material changes requiring specific acceptance or notice will be handled accordingly.

14. Governing law and disputes

These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

For business users, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes concerning these website terms.

For consumers, this does not remove mandatory protections or any right to bring proceedings in the courts available under applicable law, including the courts of their home jurisdiction where that right applies.

Privacy complaints may be made to the ICO or another competent regulator as explained in our Privacy Policy.

15. Contact and concerns

For website questions, permission requests, errors or concerns, contact hello@devsbyte.com or write to DEVSBYTE LTD at our registered office.

If a provision cannot legally be enforced, the remaining provisions continue where legally possible. No person gains rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 solely from these terms.
